# PDF to Word engine

The local adapter selects positional PDF reconstruction, normalizes page rotation metadata,
maps known font names, validates output text and section counts and rejects reported losses.
It uses no OCR, uploads, remote conversion API or font download service.
Independent PDF.js 5.6.205 source rendering checks run before this worker.

Rebuild from the repository root with an isolated `reamkit@1.29.0` installation:
`PDF_WORD_DEPS=/path/to/isolated-install node scripts/pdf-word/build-engine.mjs`.
The build uses the repository's pinned PDF-lib and esbuild. Keep worker.sha256 and licenses in sync.
